What are SlipStones ??

Slip stones are basically stones which fits on the inside edge of your gouge making your sharpening job wonderful.

Now you can take some Naniwa Choseras with you anywhere! these slip stones are approx 1" x 2" and 5-6mm thick. They are ideal for pack stones, preppers, field stones, slurry stones or just about anything you can think of. Each stone has 3 purposes - the flats of the stone can be used for regular sharpening, polishing, and maintenance. Each long end has been purposed shaped - one end is tapered to a V for serrations and small places, while the other end has been rounded, and can be used like a steel on recurves and scallopped serrations. Naniwa Chosera Stones are meant to be used with water only.

There are 3 configurations available for these Slip Stone: Coarse set, Fine set, and Full set

The Coarse set includes Chosera 400, 600, 800 and 1K, and can be used for just about most field applications and leaves a working sharp edge.

The Fine set includes Chosera 2K, 3K, 5K, and 10K, and are for polishing and maintaining fine grit edges.

The Full set includes all 8 grits.

These are currently hand finished, and there may be some slight variations between stones.
