Rose Reeds Beginner Medium/Soft Reed (MS)
This reed are great for beginners who are just learning to play the oboe or have only been playing a few months. It is easy to play, has a warm and rich sound, and has a thicker tip. (Beginners tend to break reeds easily, especially when the tip of the reed is very thin so these reeds are made with that in mind.) All reeds I personally play-check for intonation, response, and excellent tone.
They are very easy to play and are the perfect stepping stone reeds to our more mature-toned intermediate and professional reeds.
The handmade beginning level reed is shaped on a nagamatsu shaper tip, from an Innoledy gouge. The reed tied on a 47mm MSA oboe staple and measures a total of 70-71mm.
