Billy's Contra Bassoon Reed Blanks are untouched, allowing for the player to make adjustment that they feel necessary. They are not finished, and may not be immediately playable without your adjustments. You can choose options for the collar and tip finishing only. The blanks are still meticulously formed to have a free blowing, consistent feel, a rich, round tone, and give the contrabassoon the beautiful, warm, dark tone that the instrument is famous for.

All reeds are shipped in durable plastic tubes that can be used for soaking. These tubes should not be used for storage of wet or moist reeds, as this will cause mold. All Billy's Bassoon Reeds are made to order, please allow about 7 days from date of order for your reeds ship.
